Can I bring my own lab coat or scrubs?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own lab coat, scrubs, jacket, polo shirt, or other apparel for embroidery. We can also order medical apparel for you through our suppliers. Whether you provide the garment or we supply it, we can add custom logos, names, credentials, and department information. No minimum quantities and no charge for mock-ups.

What happens if a garment is damaged during embroidery?

While damage during embroidery is rare, embroidery involves needles, thread, and machinery. If GTL Threads provides the garment and it is damaged during production, we will replace the garment at our expense and complete the order as agreed.
If a customer supplies their own garment, GTL Threads is not responsible for replacing the item in the event of accidental damage during the embroidery process. By providing your own apparel, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with embroidery production. We take every precaution to protect customer-supplied garments and treat them with the utmost care.

Do you provide medical apparel or can I supply my own?

We can do either. We can order lab coats, scrubs, jackets, and other medical apparel for you, or you can bring your own garments for embroidery.

Can my artwork be rejected or refused?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GTL Threads reserves the right to decline artwork that is inappropriate, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inconsistent with our company standards. We strive to provide professional embroidery services and reserve the right to refuse designs that we believe may be harmful, unlawful, or unsuitable for production.

How long before I receive my order?

Is there a one-time logo digitizing charge?

No. We do not charge a digitizing charge.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Do you provide free mock-ups?

Yes. We can create a mock-up of your logo before production begins so you can see how it will look.

I already have my company/ logo/ name embroidered, can additional credentials, and department titles be added to a lab coat or scrubs that i already own?

Yes. We can embroider/ADD  names, credentials, department names, and custom text on most garments.

Do you offer maternity scrubs and lab coats?

Yes. We can provide maternity medical apparel options for healthcare professionals.

Will the embroidery backing show through the garment?

Accepted Answer

No. One of our specialties is producing clean embroidery without visible backing showing through the fabric.

How long does embroidery usually take?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround times vary by order size and garment availability. Most orders are completed as quickly as possible once artwork approval is received.

Do you outsource the embroidery to 3rd party?

No. All embroidery is completed in-house by GTL Threads. We do not outsource production to third-party embroidery shops.

What file types do you accept for logos?

Accepted Answer

We accept most common file formats, including JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, and SVG. If the original logo file is unavailable, don't worry. We can often recreate a clean, embroidery-ready logo from a website image, printed material, business card, or phone screenshot. Just send us the best image you have, and we'll take it from there.

Can I see a mock-up before production?

Yes. We provide complimentary mock-ups for customers who are considering an order with GTL Threads. Mock-ups are created to help you review and approve your design before production begins. We reserve the right to decline mock-up requests that are not connected to a genuine purchase inquiry.

Do you match thread colors exactly?

Accepted Answer

We do our best to match colors as closely as possible. Exact color matching is not always possible because embroidery thread is manufactured in specific color ranges and can appear different depending on fabric, lighting, and viewing conditions.
For customers who require a close color match, we use professional thread color charts and industry color reference systems to select the closest available thread. If you have a specific brand color, logo color, or Pantone® color reference, please provide it and we will work to achieve the most accurate match possible.
If color accuracy is especially important, we can discuss thread options and provide a mock-up before production.

Question 17

Can you recreate a logo from a photo or screenshot?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A high-quality logo file is always appreciated, but it is not always required. In many cases, we can recreate a logo from a website, business card, photo, or even a cellphone screenshot.
If a coworker has the logo on their lab coat or scrub top, a clear photo or screenshot is often enough for us to work from. The better the image quality, the more accurately we can reproduce the design.
If you're unsure whether your logo file is usable, send us what you have and we'll take a look.

Question 18

Do you keep my logo on file for future orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once your logo has been digitized, we keep the embroidery file on record for future orders, helping ensure consistent results and faster reorders.
Customer logos and information are kept confidential and are never sold, shared, or provided to other customers. Files are maintained only for future embroidery and reorder purposes.
